# Distance Measure Pro vs Measure Map

The clearest difference is price: Measure Map at Free against Distance Measure Pro's $2.99. Measure Map also leads on ratings volume (5.3K vs 21) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Distance Measure Pro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Measure Map is free to download; Distance Measure Pro costs $2.99 up front. Measure Map sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year. Distance Measure Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Measure Map holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Measure Map has 5.3K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Distance Measure Pro's written reviews are positive against 79% of Measure Map's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Distance Measure Pro ships an update every 2 months, Measure Map every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
