# Read With Me! vs Chinese Stories

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Read With Me! at 100% against Chinese Stories's 0%. Chinese Stories's advantage is rating (1.8 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Chinese Stories holds the better App Store score, 1.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chinese Stories has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Read With Me!'s written reviews are positive against 0% of Chinese Stories's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Read With Me! ships an update every 4 months, Chinese Stories every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
