# Draw vs Font Maker

The clearest difference is rating: Font Maker at 4.4 against Draw's 1.7. Font Maker also leads on ratings volume (8.1K vs 12). Draw's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Draw sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Font Maker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Font Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Font Maker has 8.1K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Draw's written reviews are positive against 20% of Font Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Draw ships an update every 3 weeks, Font Maker every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 12, 2026.
