# spin.de vs FanFiktion.de

The clearest difference is rating: spin.de at 3.5 against FanFiktion.de's 3.0. spin.de also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). FanFiktion.de's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 23%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. spin.de sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and FanFiktion.de sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

spin.de holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of spin.de's written reviews are positive against 50% of FanFiktion.de's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

spin.de ships an update every 2 weeks, FanFiktion.de every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
