# King vs Batak

The clearest difference is rating: Batak at 4.1 against King's 3.4. Batak also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). King's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 44%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. King sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Batak sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Batak holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of King's written reviews are positive against 44% of Batak's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

King ships an update every 6 months, Batak every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
