# SixString vs Togething

The clearest difference is monetization model: Togething at freemium against SixString's subscription. Togething also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). SixString's advantage is ratings volume (107 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SixString sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Togething sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $49.90 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Togething holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SixString has 107 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of SixString's written reviews are positive against 100% of Togething's.

SixString ships an update every 3 weeks, Togething every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
