# Pasadena CSC vs Aloha VPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pasadena CSC at none against Aloha VPN's 10. Pasadena CSC also leads on review sentiment (73% vs 55%). Aloha VPN's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.9) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aloha VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Pasadena CSC asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aloha VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aloha VPN has 351 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Pasadena CSC's written reviews are positive against 55% of Aloha VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pasadena CSC ships an update every 4 months, Aloha VPN every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
