# Sous Chef vs Sous

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sous at every 5 days against Sous Chef's every 3 months. Sous Chef's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sous Chef sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Sous sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
