# Weis Markets vs Gabe's

The clearest difference is rating: Weis Markets at 4.7 against Gabe's's 4.3. Weis Markets also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 1.6K) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Gabe's's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (32% vs 23%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Weis Markets holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weis Markets has 15K ratings behind it against 1.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Weis Markets's written reviews are positive against 32% of Gabe's's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Weis Markets ships an update monthly, Gabe's every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
