# Virtual Piano + vs Mini Piano ®

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Virtual Piano + at none against Mini Piano ®'s 6. Virtual Piano + also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (631 vs 13). Mini Piano ®'s advantage is review sentiment (48% vs 36%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mini Piano ® sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Virtual Piano + asks for nothing beyond the download.

Virtual Piano + holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Virtual Piano + has 631 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Virtual Piano +'s written reviews are positive against 48% of Mini Piano ®'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Virtual Piano + ships an update every 5 months, Mini Piano ® every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
