# J23 vs Kickstroid

The clearest difference is price: Kickstroid at Free against J23's $1.99. Kickstroid also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (88% vs 73%). J23's advantage is ratings volume (9.4K vs 50) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Kickstroid is free to download; J23 costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

J23 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: J23 has 9.4K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of J23's written reviews are positive against 88% of Kickstroid's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

J23 ships an update every 3 months, Kickstroid weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
