# THE PLAN Magazine vs Skillshare

The clearest difference is update cadence: Skillshare at every 10 days against THE PLAN Magazine's every 7 months. Skillshare also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (25K vs 13). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. THE PLAN Magazine sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per year and Skillshare sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $18.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skillshare holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skillshare has 25K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of THE PLAN Magazine's written reviews are positive against 62% of Skillshare's.

THE PLAN Magazine ships an update every 7 months, Skillshare every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
