# Cloud Spy vs Midnight Video Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Cloud Spy at 3.7 against Midnight Video Camera's 2.7. Midnight Video Camera's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (44% vs 25%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cloud Spy sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Midnight Video Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cloud Spy holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Cloud Spy's written reviews are positive against 44% of Midnight Video Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cloud Spy ships an update every 3 months, Midnight Video Camera every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
