# RoomSync vs RoomU

The clearest difference is review sentiment: RoomU at 100% against RoomSync's 18%. RoomSync's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RoomSync holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RoomSync has 4.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of RoomSync's written reviews are positive against 100% of RoomU's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RoomSync ships an update weekly, RoomU every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
