# RoomSync vs ChitYap

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ChitYap at 94% against RoomSync's 18%. RoomSync's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 32) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RoomSync holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RoomSync has 4.4K ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of RoomSync's written reviews are positive against 94% of ChitYap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RoomSync ships an update weekly, ChitYap every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
