# Moovit vs Seattle Transit

The clearest difference is ads: Seattle Transit at none against Moovit's shown. Moovit's advantage is ratings volume (61K vs 832) and chart position (#33 vs #199). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moovit sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Seattle Transit sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Moovit against 4.7 for Seattle Transit. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moovit has 61K ratings behind it against 832, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Moovit ships an update every 9 days, Seattle Transit every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
