# Letter vs Resume Star

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Resume Star at 92% against Letter's 49%. Resume Star also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (17K vs 891). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Letter sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Resume Star sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Resume Star holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Resume Star has 17K ratings behind it against 891, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 49% of Letter's written reviews are positive against 92% of Resume Star's.

Letter ships an update every 3 weeks, Resume Star every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
