# Autodesk Forma vs Microsoft Teams

The clearest difference is monetization model: Microsoft Teams at free against Autodesk Forma's free with in-app purchases. Microsoft Teams also leads on ratings volume (3.4M vs 22K) and chart position (#6 vs unranked). Autodesk Forma's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 24%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Autodesk Forma sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Microsoft Teams sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Autodesk Forma against 4.8 for Microsoft Teams. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Teams has 3.4M ratings behind it against 22K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 41% of Autodesk Forma's written reviews are positive against 24% of Microsoft Teams's.

Autodesk Forma ships an update every 8 days, Microsoft Teams weekly. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
