# Autodesk Forma vs Express Touch

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Express Touch at none against Autodesk Forma's 7. Express Touch also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Autodesk Forma's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (22K vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Autodesk Forma sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Express Touch asks for nothing beyond the download.

Express Touch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Autodesk Forma has 22K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Autodesk Forma ships an update every 9 days, Express Touch every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
