# SuperTrains 1 vs Open Train Tycoon Deluxe

The clearest difference is rating: SuperTrains 1 at 3.3 against Open Train Tycoon Deluxe's 2.7. SuperTrains 1 also leads on ratings volume (55 vs 9). Open Train Tycoon Deluxe's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SuperTrains 1 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Open Train Tycoon Deluxe asks for nothing beyond the download.

SuperTrains 1 holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SuperTrains 1 has 55 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of SuperTrains 1's written reviews are positive against 50% of Open Train Tycoon Deluxe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SuperTrains 1 ships an update every 2 months, Open Train Tycoon Deluxe every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
