# Beesy vs Digital Planner for iPad

The clearest difference is monetization model: Beesy at free with in-app purchases against Digital Planner for iPad's subscription. Beesy also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 44%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Digital Planner for iPad's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 64). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beesy sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Digital Planner for iPad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Beesy against 4.3 for Digital Planner for iPad. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Planner for iPad has 2.1K ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Beesy's written reviews are positive against 44% of Digital Planner for iPad's.

Beesy ships an update every 6 weeks, Digital Planner for iPad every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
