# Forms vs Spark

The clearest difference is monetization model: Forms at free with in-app purchases against Spark's subscription. Spark's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and review sentiment (88% vs 56%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forms sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Spark sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spark holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 86 and 84 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of Forms's written reviews are positive against 88% of Spark's.

Forms ships an update every 5 months, Spark every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
