# iProScout Baseball vs Strike Smart Baseball

The clearest difference is monetization model: Strike Smart Baseball at free with in-app purchases against iProScout Baseball's subscription. Strike Smart Baseball also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). iProScout Baseball's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 3.2). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iProScout Baseball sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Strike Smart Baseball sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iProScout Baseball holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of iProScout Baseball's written reviews are positive against 50% of Strike Smart Baseball's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iProScout Baseball ships an update every 3 months, Strike Smart Baseball every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
