# Sevius vs Cogni

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sevius at none against Cogni's 9. Sevius also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (45% vs 36%). Cogni's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cogni sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Sevius asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sevius holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cogni has 1.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of Sevius's written reviews are positive against 36% of Cogni's.

Sevius ships an update every 6 months, Cogni weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
