# OpConnect vs Electrify America

The clearest difference is rating: Electrify America at 4.6 against OpConnect's 3.5. Electrify America also leads on ratings volume (27K vs 260) and chart position (#36 vs unranked). OpConnect's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Electrify America holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Electrify America has 27K ratings behind it against 260, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of OpConnect's written reviews are positive against 9% of Electrify America's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OpConnect ships an update every 5 weeks, Electrify America monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
