# ▻ Solitaire vs Classic Solitaire!

The clearest difference is rating: ▻ Solitaire at 4.7 against Classic Solitaire!'s 3.9. ▻ Solitaire also leads on ratings volume (197K vs 247) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 6 months). Classic Solitaire!'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

▻ Solitaire holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ▻ Solitaire has 197K ratings behind it against 247, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of ▻ Solitaire's written reviews are positive against 68% of Classic Solitaire!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

▻ Solitaire ships an update every 6 weeks, Classic Solitaire! every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
