# RTL play vs TNT Plus

The clearest difference is rating: RTL play at 4.3 against TNT Plus's 3.7. RTL play also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (30 vs 3). TNT Plus's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RTL play holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RTL play has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of RTL play's written reviews are positive against 32% of TNT Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RTL play ships an update every 11 days, TNT Plus every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
