# YUTorah vs RJD Torah

The clearest difference is rating: RJD Torah at 5.0 against YUTorah's 3.9. YUTorah's advantage is ratings volume (61 vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RJD Torah holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YUTorah has 61 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

YUTorah ships an update every 2 months, RJD Torah every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
