# RaiPlay vs Prompter

The clearest difference is rating: Prompter at 3.5 against RaiPlay's 2.3. Prompter also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). RaiPlay's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (201 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Prompter holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RaiPlay has 201 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of RaiPlay's written reviews are positive against 0% of Prompter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RaiPlay ships an update fortnightly, Prompter every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 12, 2026 respectively.
