# WALT vs PETKIT

The clearest difference is update cadence: PETKIT at fortnightly against WALT's every 3 months. PETKIT also leads on ratings volume (20K vs 6). WALT's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (80% vs 52%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WALT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PETKIT has 20K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of WALT's written reviews are positive against 52% of PETKIT's.

WALT ships an update every 3 months, PETKIT fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
