# Classic Nim vs The Army

Classic Nim and The Army both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 73% of Classic Nim's written reviews are positive against 30% of The Army's. Classic Nim also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10). The Army's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (4.4K vs 99). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Army sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Classic Nim asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Classic Nim against 4.6 for The Army. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Army has 4.4K ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of Classic Nim's written reviews are positive against 30% of The Army's.

Classic Nim ships an update every 9 months, The Army every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
