# Ultimate Stopwatch vs Interval Stopwatch Timer

The clearest difference is price: Interval Stopwatch Timer at Free against Ultimate Stopwatch's $3.99. Interval Stopwatch Timer also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 87%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). Ultimate Stopwatch's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (70 vs 2). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Interval Stopwatch Timer is free to download; Ultimate Stopwatch costs $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ultimate Stopwatch holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ultimate Stopwatch has 70 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of Ultimate Stopwatch's written reviews are positive against 100% of Interval Stopwatch Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
