# Drums Master vs Drum Starz

The clearest difference is ads: Drums Master at none against Drum Starz's shown. Drums Master also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (584 vs 35). Drum Starz's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 53%) and update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drums Master sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Drum Starz sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drums Master holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drums Master has 584 ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Drums Master's written reviews are positive against 80% of Drum Starz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drums Master ships an update monthly, Drum Starz every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
