# Memory vs Memory Cartoon

The clearest difference is update cadence: Memory at every 11 days against Memory Cartoon's every 4 months. Memory also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 67%) and ratings volume (10K vs 179). Memory Cartoon's advantage is monetization model (free with ads vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memory sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Memory Cartoon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Memory against 4.6 for Memory Cartoon. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memory has 10K ratings behind it against 179, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 89% of Memory's written reviews are positive against 67% of Memory Cartoon's.

Memory ships an update every 11 days, Memory Cartoon every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
