# Pace Calculator vs Polar Flow

The clearest difference is ads: Polar Flow at none against Pace Calculator's shown. Polar Flow also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (50K vs 39). Pace Calculator's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (68% vs 50%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pace Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Polar Flow sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Polar Flow holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Polar Flow has 50K ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Pace Calculator's written reviews are positive against 50% of Polar Flow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pace Calculator ships an update every 5 days, Polar Flow monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
