# Easy Xylophone vs Skoog

The clearest difference is rating: Easy Xylophone at 4.3 against Skoog's 3.3. Easy Xylophone also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 25%) and ratings volume (2K vs 8). Skoog's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Xylophone sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Skoog sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Easy Xylophone holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Easy Xylophone has 2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Easy Xylophone's written reviews are positive against 25% of Skoog's.

Easy Xylophone ships an update every 6 months, Skoog every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
