# Le Matin vs Hespress

The clearest difference is rating: Hespress at 4.4 against Le Matin's 3.0. Hespress also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 4). Le Matin's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 71%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hespress holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hespress has 3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Le Matin's written reviews are positive against 71% of Hespress's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Le Matin ships an update every 2 weeks, Hespress every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
