# ELLE Magazine vs Fil

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fil at every 5 days against ELLE Magazine's every 3 months. ELLE Magazine's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ELLE Magazine sells 101 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Fil sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.95 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ELLE Magazine ships an update every 3 months, Fil every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
