# ELLE Magazine vs Sélection

The clearest difference is ratings volume: ELLE Magazine at 133 against Sélection's 2. ELLE Magazine also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Sélection's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ELLE Magazine sells 101 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Sélection sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sélection holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ELLE Magazine has 133 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of ELLE Magazine's written reviews are positive against 33% of Sélection's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ELLE Magazine ships an update every 3 months, Sélection every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
