# RainAware vs Flowx

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flowx at 96% against RainAware's 51%. Flowx also leads on price (Free vs $4.99) and rating (4.9 vs 3.9). RainAware's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 50) and chart position (#10 vs unranked). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Flowx is free to download; RainAware costs $4.99 up front. RainAware sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Flowx sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $24.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flowx holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RainAware has 1.1K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 51% of RainAware's written reviews are positive against 96% of Flowx's.

RainAware ships an update every 2 weeks, Flowx every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
