# RainAware vs Weather & Radar

The clearest difference is price: Weather & Radar at Free against RainAware's $4.99. Weather & Radar also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (306K vs 1.1K). RainAware's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.4). On update cadence, in-app purchases, monetization model and chart position there is nothing between them.

Weather & Radar is free to download; RainAware costs $4.99 up front. RainAware sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Weather & Radar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Weather & Radar holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weather & Radar has 306K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 51% of RainAware's written reviews are positive against 75% of Weather & Radar's.
