The clearest difference is rating: Weather Mate Pro at 4.7 against RainAware's 3.9. Weather Mate Pro also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 51%) and ratings volume (6.2K vs 1.1K). RainAware's advantage is price ($4.99 vs $7.99) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
