# mconnect Player vs Primare Prisma

The clearest difference is price: Primare Prisma at Free against mconnect Player's $5.99. Primare Prisma also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). mconnect Player's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 11%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Primare Prisma is free to download; mconnect Player costs $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Primare Prisma holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: mconnect Player has 79 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of mconnect Player's written reviews are positive against 11% of Primare Prisma's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

mconnect Player ships an update every 3 weeks, Primare Prisma every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
