# HuePaint vs Magic Paint

The clearest difference is update cadence: Magic Paint at every 10 days against HuePaint's every 2 months. HuePaint's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HuePaint sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Magic Paint sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HuePaint ships an update every 2 months, Magic Paint every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
