# CoPilot GPS Navigation vs Overdrive

The clearest difference is rating: Overdrive at 5.0 against CoPilot GPS Navigation's 3.5. Overdrive also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). CoPilot GPS Navigation's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 3) and chart position (#55 vs unranked). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CoPilot GPS Navigation sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Overdrive asks for nothing beyond the download.

Overdrive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CoPilot GPS Navigation has 2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CoPilot GPS Navigation ships an update every 4 months, Overdrive every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
