# abcNotes vs vNote

The clearest difference is ads: vNote at none against abcNotes's shown. vNote also leads on review sentiment (95% vs 77%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). abcNotes's advantage is ratings volume (2.9K vs 14) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. abcNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and vNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

abcNotes holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: abcNotes has 2.9K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of abcNotes's written reviews are positive against 95% of vNote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

abcNotes ships an update every 2 weeks, vNote every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
