# abcNotes vs Pro Note

The clearest difference is ads: Pro Note at none against abcNotes's shown. Pro Note also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%). abcNotes's advantage is ratings volume (2.9K vs 15) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. abcNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pro Note sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for abcNotes against 4.5 for Pro Note. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: abcNotes has 2.9K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of abcNotes's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pro Note's.

abcNotes ships an update every 2 weeks, Pro Note monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
