# abcNotes vs X

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: X at none against abcNotes's 1. X also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). abcNotes's advantage is ratings volume (2.9K vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. abcNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. X asks for nothing beyond the download.

X holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: abcNotes has 2.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
