# Studyplus vs Focus & Fish

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Studyplus at 339 against Focus & Fish's 10. Studyplus also leads on review sentiment (72% vs 63%) and device support (3 vs 1). Focus & Fish's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Studyplus sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per month and Focus & Fish sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus & Fish holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Studyplus has 339 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Studyplus's written reviews are positive against 63% of Focus & Fish's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Studyplus ships an update weekly, Focus & Fish every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
