# Droppath Route Planner vs SoloRoute

Droppath Route Planner and SoloRoute both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of SoloRoute's written reviews are positive against 54% of Droppath Route Planner's. SoloRoute also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). Droppath Route Planner's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 27) and chart position (#119 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Droppath Route Planner sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and SoloRoute sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Droppath Route Planner against 4.7 for SoloRoute. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Droppath Route Planner has 1.5K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Droppath Route Planner's written reviews are positive against 100% of SoloRoute's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
